I think a goalkeeper has to participate at the back of the defence and come off the line to play.
I think the first attacker has the ball, starts from the back, you can see everything, and you have to play with the feel of a midfielder, not a goalkeeper.
In modern day football, you've got to play in different positions. I've played in numerous positions, apart from centre-back and goalkeeper, I think.
I am never proud to participate in violence, yet I know that each of us must care enough for ourselves that we can be ready and able to come to our own defence when and wherever needed.
You've got to want to play defence. Nobody really wants to play defence. It's boring. It sucks. You don't get the flashiness, the scores, the dunks. But you've got to have it.
I hate players who always play the ball back to the goalkeeper.
A more worldly and competent foreign and defence policy is by far the preferred first line of defence - rather than the default position of relying on expensive but problematic hardware.
I will have to play as a goalkeeper and sometimes like a centre-back and play with my feet. I like that system and I feel comfortable in it.
As a goalkeeper, Van der Sar can do everything. He is very good at coming off his line, and he is also effective as a libero - what they call in England a 'sweeper keeper.'
When I was nine or ten, I had a chat with my coach and I asked if I could play in goal. I started playing as a goalkeeper and it was love at first sight. Only a goalkeeper knows how it is.
I've crossed every bridge to become a Premier League goalkeeper, I think I'm going in the right direction and I think I'm mature as a goalkeeper.
For me, it is a dream come true to play in the Premier League as a No. 1 goalkeeper.
If you're going to play in all three formats, you can't play all the games. You probably play two Test matches, miss the last one and take some time off and maybe come back for the second ODI or second T20.
As a goalkeeper, you can't come off the bench for 10 minutes and prove your worth - it's either you're in or you're out.
Sometimes, as a comedian, a line will come to you, that is so beautiful, so perfect, that you think: I did not create this line. This line belongs to all of us. Surely this is a line of God

Massive, massive mentality. The mental strength, you've just got to have that because you get a lot of stick, as a goalkeeper you're the last line of defence. When a goal goes in everyone looks at you, you've got to be able to deal with that. If you make a mistake, it could be a bad mistake, how are you going to recover? Are you going to react positively or are you just going to cave in?
