Refuse to give up, your mistakes don't define you.
 They don't dictate where you're headed, they remind you. — © T.I.
Refuse to give up, your mistakes don't define you. They don't dictate where you're headed, they remind you.
Surrender is not that you should give up your family, give up your children, or give up your houses and homes and your properties. Surrendering is here: give up your ego to begin with and then give up your conditionings.
Throughout life, we get clues that remind us of the direction we are supposed to be headed if you stay focused, then you learn your lessons.
Don't define yourself by your mistakes or by the single thing you are at your work.
Your age doesn't define your maturity; your grades don't define your ability; and what people say about you doesn't define who you are.
As long as you've done your best, making mistakes doesn't matter. You and I are human; we will mess up. What counts is learning from your mistakes and getting back up when life has knocked you down.
Scars remind us where we've been - they don't have to dictate where we are going.
You have to define success in your own way. What maintains your dignity and integrity and what is your life's plan; where do you want to put your efforts? I could be richer and more famous, but I would have to give up things that are of infinitely more value.
The most common mistake you'll make is forgetting to keep your own scorecard. Very little at work reinforces your ability to do this, so you will have to be vigilant. When evaluators give you an assessment, they are just guessing at who you are; they certainly are not the ones who know your potential. They can rate you and influence you, but they don't get to define you. That's your most honorable assignment: to define, every day through the way you deliver your work, the scope and nature of your inherent abilities.
It is not our mistakes that define who we are; it is how we recover from those mistakes.
I'm not hopeless, that's the problem. I'm too hopeful, if anything ... I'm so thick-headed it's taken me this long to give up on men, but I can't give up completely, you know? So I ... I channel all my hope into an idea, to someone who can't reject me because he isn't real!
I refuse to believe today will be just another day in my life. All that I am. All that I will become will be written through my thoughts and my actions. I've conditioned my mind. Trained my body. Sacrificed my soul. There will be obstacles. Doubters. Mistakes. But nothing comes to those who wait. Every champion was once a contender that refused to give up.
I refuse some movies. I cannot always give reasons why I refuse. Sometimes, I refuse just because I feel like refusing! I always look at my role, and never bother about who the hero will be when choosing a movie.
I don't want to give any advice to a 19-year-old, because I want a 19-year-old to make mistakes and learn from them. Make mistakes, make mistakes, make mistakes. Just make sure they're your mistakes.
Neither refuse to give help when it is needed,... nor refuse to accept it when it is offered.
Mistakes don't have to define us. They're how we learn and grow. They show us who and what we don't want to be. It's why they're mistakes.
Let's never stop asking questions. Questions give us a harbor to remember where we once lived mentally. They remind us of the possibilities that can be born out of thoughts and musings, and they link together pattern that define our lives.
