I feel like I'm just trying to pave my own lane and just kind of make my own sound.
I feel like I kind of got my own lane, but I think if you mix T.I., Andre3000, Hov and Kanye you kinda get who I am. And I'm a huge fan of all of those artists, I grew up on a little bit of all them.

There ain't nothing that we need to be worried about. We just need to be in the right lane where everybody else be in the left lane.
You've got Chris Stapleton doing what he's doing, and Sam Hunt, Florida Georgia Line... Everyone has their own lane, and we felt like the falsetto was my lane.

I need to protect myself from everybody. I see so many people all day, all demanding their own jobs, their own opportunities, so in a way, I make a distinction. I'm very difficult about opening myself up with people at first . . . It just takes time.
People who drive slow in the left lane on the highway! Are you kidding me? Don't you see everybody passing you, honking and flipping you off? It's not because everyone else is crazy, it's because you're driving slow in the fast lane, you jerk! OMG! It makes me crazy!
