I think it's easy to make impenetrable music that nobody can get, and you can hide behind that sometimes.
Noise is an easy thing to hide behind. If you make a lot of noise and shout behind that, nobody can tell what you're singing.
It's easy to hide your body from the chest down if you really want to. But it's not as easy, especially in the summer and spring, to hide your arms. So I think that's something you always have to make sure you work on.
If in physics there's something you don't understand, you can always hide behind the uncharted depths of nature. You can always blame God. You didn't make it so complex yourself. But if your program doesn't work, there is no one to hide behind. You cannot hide behind an obstinate nature. If it doesn't work, you've messed up.
There's always been good and bad music. Many composers hide behind modern music in order to not make music.
I think normally people think that they're afraid to die but I actually think people are more afraid to live. The way I make music is just a reflection of how I think music should be made. Where you sit in a studio, and you make music, and you use technology to your advantage, not to hide all the blaring mistakes.
You can't hide behind race any more. You can't hide behind class structure any more. You can't hide behind family. You need to produce.
People love to make comments to me on Twitter or social media networks, and I say it's easy for you to make a comment because you're behind a screen where nobody can ever see you.
It's really easy sometimes to get comfortable on a set and get into the groove and think it's all make-believe so nothing bad can happen.
The thing that I get so often with network comedies - and, I think, some of the most brilliant people in the world do them - but it's easy to hide behind a joke. I kind of feel like when you have to face things, and you don't have humor, it becomes very vulnerable; it exposes your deepest and darkest fears in some aspects.
Y'know, you can sit in a room, practise all day, learn your scales and blaze blues riffs: it's easy to hide behind that. But I think with the slide, it's a little bit tougher.

I usually like to hide my vocals behind the music. I don't like to hide them consciously, but I have a tendency to prefer the vocal at the same level as everything else and put lots of reverb on it.
I always wanted to get into rock music so I could cover up my real personality, change my voice, and create a false self to hide behind.
