It's a very strange league, the Championship, because on any given match day, any team can beat any other team.
In the Olympics we are facing the toughest opponents in the world so that shows that you do have the chance to beat any team at any given day.
I feel like any team I'm on, I can help take that team to the playoffs.
Because we are no different from any animal, any insect or germule. We are not special, Cal. You, me, we all came from nothing, and that's exactly where we're all going one day, maybe soon, whether we like it or not.
That's probably the biggest thing for any team in the playoffs, for every team - if you want to win. It's not about your numbers. It's not about scoring. It's about the team and whatever it is you need to do to help the team win. Whether it's rebounding, taking charges, getting steals, blocking shots or guarding somebody.
You can spin it any way you want. You could spin it on their side that this is a revenge game. We can spin it from our side that our guys have confidence. They know they can beat them. They beat them once. But you know what? None of that matters. We're two different teams. We played them almost a month and a half ago. And every team is different at this point.
Any observer is an intruder in the domain of a wild animal and must remember that the rights of that animal supersede human interests. An observer must also keep in mind that an animal's memories of one day's contact might well be reflected in the following day's behavior.
A good, quick, small team can beat a big, slow team any time.
But the atmosphere of being part of the Indian team is totally different from any other team. People start looking at you in a different way. But the senior players and support staff really helped me in ease into the team.
I think that's healthy on a football team for competition to exist in every position and probably most important quarterback so that everyone on the team knows that position isn't handled any different than any other.
When I came into this league, it was a Phoenix Suns team consistently going to the playoffs, and they had aspirations to go deep into the playoffs. People were always harping on sacrifice, what you have to give up for the success of the team.
If I'm called up by any England team, I'm willing to go. I'm not going to pull out of any England team. Ask any young kid who wants to play for their national team, and everyone's the same. We're all dying to do it.
We've been able to handle any team that you guys put in front of us. We've had confidence since day one. ... We feel like any team we play against, we've got what it takes to put ourselves in a position to win.
We can't beat any team by ourselves.
I went to Golden State and helped them get to the playoffs my first year there, and they haven't been to the playoffs in 13 years. I played in Charlotte... and I got them to the playoffs. So, every team I go to, I make them better.
Naturally, any time that our national team beats Australia is pleasing but the first time we beat them in 10 years at Stratford in 2005 was a day I'll never forget.
