Films are fun, and I want to do comic roles. Daily soaps are interesting, too, but the travel to and from the sets takes a toll.
Once the shooting for a film starts, you have to go abroad for it but your family is here. The constant shuttling takes a toll on you, and so I won't pursue roles in English films but yes, if I am offered a good role I may consider it.
Travel takes a toll on you.
I made films for soaps and I was the Coca-Cola girl for England. I did a lot popular films, too.
People think that because I play comic roles, my films will have a comic flavour as well. But I am a student of drama.
I want to keep doing interesting work with interesting people in whatever form that may take, but I want to play the big parts of classical theatre; I want to go on stage and play great Shakespearean roles and, at the same time, do amazing, challenging indie films and comedy, and I want to do it all. I am greedy.
I have acted in over 50 films and 15 daily soaps, but the thrill I feel while performing for my home audience is unparalleled.
Skateboarding is interesting. You can't really practice it as much. It takes a big toll on your body. Your legs get really tired really fast. If I skate too much, I'll be way too sore.
What's fun about chefs is that they're big guys, often, and they might not look like the most athletic people, but they're very powerful people, and they have tremendous stamina... It takes a toll on their body, too.
When we work for daily soaps, it is very time consuming: like, we work for 12-14 hours. But, doing a show that's interesting makes it worth it.
I was offered daily soaps in the past but that was something I did not want to take up.
Actors go, 'I just want to act.' And I say to them, 'You know, stop for a second and think about what charges you up the most. Do you want to be on the stage, do you want to be in film, do you want to be a comic actor? Do you just want to make it for the money and capitalize on your look and do commercials and soaps?'
There's a terrible truth for many women in the picture business: Aging typically takes its toll and means fewer and less desirable roles.
I want to get away from my comic image. Not that I won't do any more comic roles, but I won't opt for the usual 'Govinda' type of comedies.
I don't want to play father roles. And I use father roles figuratively for roles that are just hanging around... don't want to be a piece of furniture in films.
I think that being in the closet is really hard. It takes a toll on your mind. It takes a toll on you. I think it just makes every aspect of your life more difficult.
I have been offered roles in mainstream films which have not been interesting to me. They have been too insignificant.
