A Quote by Virginia Woolf

The truth is, I often like women. I like their unconventionality. I like their completeness. I like their anonymity. — © Virginia Woolf
The truth is, I often like women. I like their unconventionality. I like their completeness. I like their anonymity.
I felt like onstage I have to have a certain amount of anonymity, like, personal anonymity, to feel loose and free. When you're up there with people who've known you for a decade, and you make a bad joke and you hear the cackling behind the drums, it's hard to get lost in the moment.
The truth is, we [women] live like bats, or owls, labor like beasts, and die like worms.
You see, women are like fires, like flames. Some women are like candles, bright and friendly. Some are like single sparks, or embers, like fireflies for chasing on summer nights. Some are like campfires, all light and heat for a night and willing to be left after. Some women are like hearthfires, not much to look at but underneath they are all warm red coal that burns a long, long while.
I feel like everyone has a preference. You have women who don't like shorter guys. You have women who like taller guys. You have women who like heavier men. You have women who like smaller men. It's the same thing with men. You have men who prefer lighter women and men who prefer darker women.
I just really like women, and I like men, and I like children, and I like eating, and I like doing everything.
I don't like to go out to parties or clubbing, and I kind of like my anonymity.
I looked upon a clock to find the truth. The hours were passing like ivory chess figures, striking piano notes, and the minutes raced on wires mounted like tin soldiers. Hours like tall ebony women with gongs between their legs, tolling continuously so that I could not count them. I heard the rolling of my heart-beats; I heard the footsteps of my dreams, and the beat of time was lost among them like the face of truth.
Be like Sasha Fierce. Be like Miley Cyrus. Be like Rihanna. Be like Lady Gaga. Be like Rita Ora and Sia. Be like Madonna. I cannot be like them, except to the extent that they are already being like me.
Women do not often have it in their power to give like men, but they forgive like Heaven.
Statistics are like women; mirrors of purest virtue and truth, or like whores to use as one pleases.
Everything sells. Like integrity. Like democracy. Like truth. Like deeds.
I just happen to like the work. I like preparing for a role. I like reading. I like analyzing. I like literature. I like emotions. I like working with other actors.
When I do music, I don't feel like it's competition. Then again, it kinda is, but I don't like thinking like that. And I don't understand why they do that to women and, especially, women in hip-hop.
I like to speak the truth. I know people dont like listening to the truth but I like speaking it.
I'm supposed to have a Ph.D. on the subject of women. But the truth is I've flunked more often than not. I'm very fond of women; I admire them. But, like all men, I don't understand them.
I do not like the human race. I don't like their heads, I don't like their faces, I don't like their feet, I don't like their conversations, I don't like their hairdos, I don't like their automobiles.
