The lifestyle I lead as a footballer means I am always in the spotlight.
I lead a simple lifestyle but that doesn't mean I am a foolish simpleton!
When I am not on the stage, it is always very difficult for the public to find me! I am a private person who does not always want to be in the spotlight!
Maybe some people look at me and just see a footballer, or a black footballer. But I am much more than this. I tell my best friends all the time, 'If you look at me as a footballer, and not as Little Kouli, and not as your friend, then I have failed in life.'
My Dad is finally proud of me. He always wanted me to be a footballer. He is a football hooligan, a true obsessive, if I had been born on match day he would not have been at the hospital, so for me to be able to at least pretend to be a footballer, means I'm finally allowed home at Christmas.
I lived a permissive, fast, and reckless lifestyle. I hope I can serve as a warning that living this lifestyle can really lead to only one thing, and that's misery.
I simply believe that I am that star that WWE is looking for. But in this business you have to be put in the right spotlight for that to be recognized. Give me that spotlight and you won't be able to look away.
While swimming was always a spotlight sport, I was, if you will, sort of present at the creation when gymnastics became the new star lead-off hitter.
We all like a party but when that 'becomes the main feature of your lifestyle as a footballer, I haven't got time for that.
I recall the hard work that my family went through just to continue to live the lifestyle that we were living, which wasn't by any means a great lifestyle.
I always keep in mind that being Twice, we will of course be in the spotlight, but that attention is amazing because it means people are supporting us.
The only lifestyle I'm promoting is the lifestyle of love and friendship. The lifestyle of music, and joy, and fashion. So whoever wants to come and get part of that lifestyle, we accept anybody.
I'll have you know that I am not a failed Third Division footballer. I am a failed Second Division footballer.
I lead a very active lifestyle. When I am not working, I enjoy snowboarding in winter. I golf and swim in the summer months. However, trying to find the time to exercise when I am traveling is quite a challenge. I find myself working out at hotel gyms quite regularly - just so that I can keep up with my training.
I always wanted to be a footballer; I always wanted to play. I was born to be a footballer.
It was great for me getting a chance to grow up as a normal kid just out of the spotlight, versus all of them growing up in New York. They always had that intense media and spotlight on them.
I have always lived beyond my means. I am still trying to live beyond my means, but it is getting harder all the time. I am very rich.
