A Quote by Wesley Sneijder

Why Galatasaray and not Liverpool? Because I am a winner - I play for prizes - so I went to Galatasaray because I thought that I would win more at Galatasaray and be champion than at Liverpool, and I think afterwards that I made the right choice.
Other teams have offered me really big money but my love for Galatasaray is real. I want to play in major leagues and my dream team is Liverpool F.C. As I always mention, Liverpool attracts me because of their tradition. In Europe, I am a Liverpool supporter, so if I go to play in Europe, I would like to play for them.
When I decided to join Galatasaray, obviously there were a few Leeds fans who were disappointed. The reason why I came to Galatasaray was maybe to bring these clubs together, where we can forget what happened in the past and move on.
Many clubs wanted to know when I was leaving Inter, and Liverpool was one of those clubs, so people were surprised I chose Galatasaray.
I suppose people lost interest in me when I left Liverpool; but it wasn't me who left, it was other people who left me. If people had continued to follow me, they would have seen my two good seasons in Turkey which caught the attention of Besiktas and Galatasaray.
I realised how big the Galatasaray community is after arriving at the airport. I am very happy and proud that I will play for such a big club.
We spent last night listening to Liverpool football team on the radio, wanting them to win so badly. Paul supports Liverpool. He was Everton for a while because of his family - but it's all Liverpool now.
I said to myself & to my coleagues at Melwood that I'd probably never play for a better club with a better players than Liverpool ever again, Then I went to Real Madrid & in 2009 we met Liverpool in the CL first knock-out round. Liverpool beat us 5-0 on aggregate. I wasn't happy because my team had lost but I was happy with my promise. I did NOT play for a better club with a better players than LIVERPOOL
Taffarel was also outstanding when Galatasaray won the UEFA Cup in 2000. I watched the games of 'Gala' a lot in my childhood.
I remember my last game for Newcastle in the pre-season, when their fans were singing that they wanted me to stay, but when the opportunity came to play for a great club like Liverpool with such a great history, I had to take it. I hope they understand why I made that choice to go to Liverpool.
Drogba is certainly one of the best strikers in the world and has gone to Galatasaray after his experience in China, with the desire to keep surprising.
It's a massive experience: playing against Galatasaray and Besiktas, you can feel the atmosphere. It feels like the stadium is going to fall down due to the fans singing and bouncing.
I know how much football is loved in Turkey. I will make the Galatasaray fans very proud and very happy.
I loved Leeds but I also loved Galatasaray.
To see Liverpool win the Premier League would be fantastic being a Liverpool fan. But to get to the Euros with Wales would be just as special.
I got racist abuse at Liverpool when I played for Watford. Then I played for Liverpool and didn't get it. If I had played for Everton against Liverpool then maybe the Liverpool fans would have racially abused me.
I'd be happy if I was part of a Liverpool side that kept winning titles, cups, and made history. I just want to win and carrying on winning for Liverpool.
