You really just have to have a good attitude, challenge yourself, and you can accomplish great things. — © Zach Anner
You really just have to have a good attitude, challenge yourself, and you can accomplish great things.
The challenge is not finding the attitude, but it's really just being open and willing to go for it and try different things, and having a director that you can trust. The attitude is not something that I intended or created.
Actors, by nature, are insecure. I don't see that as necessarily a bad thing. It is good to question yourself, be self-analytical. You get a better performance if you challenge yourself. If you go around thinking you're great, you're never going to challenge or scare yourself.
One of the things that I learned is that you never truly know yourself until you challenge yourself. It is when you are confronted with challenges that you see what you are really made of, what is important to you and what your true aspirations are...sometimes you think that you really know yourself, and then you find out that you really don't.
I think in life, if you continue to challenge yourself, you can pride yourself in what you continuously accomplish.
You should be proud of what you're doing, but not conceited. If you can't be proud of yourself, you're a failure. And discipline. To do anything in life you have to have discipline. To accomplish anything, you have a goal, challenge yourself, and work until you accomplish that goal. Practice what you preach.
To me, good health is more than just exercise and diet. Its really a point of view and a mental attitude you have about yourself.
It's always good to have people from my school accomplish great things. It doesn't necessarily have to be just basketball. I want to see more people do other things from my school.
I'm a strong believer that you have to have an equal opportunity to fail and to try things that are hard. I always tell my students, "Don't just take things that are easy for you. If you're really good at math, don't take just math. Take classes that make you write. If you're a really great writer, but bad at math, take math and make yourself work your way through it."
I was very fortunate when I was little - I played basketball. You really absolutely learn how to be a team player, how to win a game, to accomplish things, not just for yourself.
If you want to be great, you can't be great by yourself. You gotta to bring people around you. As the the challenge escalates, the need for teamwork elevates. The greater the challenge, the better the team.
I sleep good because I have a great family and stuff like that, a great life, but career-wise, I have some things I need to accomplish.
Great people do things before they're ready. They do things before they know they can do it. Doing what you're afraid of, getting out of your comfort zone, taking risks like that - that is what life is. You might be really good. You might find out something about yourself that's really special and if you're not good, who cares? You tried something. Now you know something about yourself.
One of the most important things you can accomplish is just being yourself.
Organization doesn't really accomplish anything. Plans don't accomplish anything, either. Theories of management don't much matter. Endeavors succeed or fail because of the people involved. Only by attracting the best people will you accomplish great deeds.
Their attitude is, 'okay, I am the customer. You are supposed to entertain me.' It's kind of a passive attitude they're taking, and to me it's kind of a pathetic thing. They do not know how interesting it is if you move one step further and try to challenge yourself with more advanced games.
Once in a while it's good to challenge yourself in a way that's really daunting.
