You have to have confidence in this league. Everybody's so good. — © Zach Ertz
You have to have confidence in this league. Everybody's so good.
Everybody likes the Premier League. It has a lot of spectacle, a lot of goals, and many good players. It is natural that every good player is attracted by that league.
I think the biggest thing for everybody in this league is the respect of their peers. A lot of the things we do, the way we compete, is for everybody in this league to respect as good players. Whether GMs see it or not or people on the outside, we want the respect of players.
Not everybody is following every league in the world so the Champions League is a platform where everybody can see what you're still able to do.
Not everybody in this league is the most talented guy in this world, but they're able to stay in this league and make a good living for themselves because they work really hard at it and perfected certain things.
It's such a crazy league, the Championship. People used to say that to me, and when you are in the Premier League, you don't really take notice. It's a good league; it's tough, and I like it. But the Premier League is where I want to be, with Villa.
Not everybody will get a chance to play in this league. You know, there's a transition rate of about 300 guys a year, that come into the league and leave the league. So the average career expectancy is a little bit under four years, so that doesn't mean you're gonna play forever.
I am not someone who watches every game from the Bundesliga, the Spanish League, or even the Premier League. Of course, if there is a good game, like in the Champions League, I will watch it.
The mental aspect of being a goalkeeper is very important so you have to go into the game with full concentration and confidence. That is a big part of your game and the Premier League is the most demanding league for any goalkeeper.
Give Good Face is about keeping an air of confidence on the outside and showing everybody that you have what it takes.
Everybody was calling. I think everybody called every player in the league. Thats history right there.
It's a dream for any player, having the opportunity to play in the Premier League. Everybody knows it's the most competitive league in the world. It's really great to follow it, as you can't predict who is going to win the trophy.
You go through slumps. The shot feels good in practice and looks good and for whatever reason in the game, they're in and out. Sometimes it gets frustrating, but for me, I've played in the league long enough to know you just have to put in the work in practice and shoot with confidence, shoot your way out of it.
For me, it was a dream to play in the Premier League. I always wanted to be here because this league is very good, it has very good teams, and Manchester United is the best team in England.
You can't survive in this league if you don't have confidence.
Everybody has a different opinion in this league and nobody is a prophet. I personally don't know who will win the league. I managed 1,600 games so, if Nani knows, he must be 1,600 times more intelligent than I am.
After winning a championship, I learned something about this: To win a championship, you need everybody. You need everybody to be out there, everybody to have confidence to play at a high level.
