I love sports, and I'm a hugely competitive person.
I mean, does anyone seriously think there are no drugs in Olympic sports just because they do some kind of testing? They are highly competitive sports with highly competitive people and just with competitive business people do whatever they can do to get ahead.
I'm not knocking the other sports; I love other sports. There's a competitive and a technical level of them that I won't understand, probably, to a certain extent, but I've done a lot of other sports competing on college teams, and there's just nothing like fighting.
I won't have any competitive instincts in any sports, other than golf. I can't see being competitive in sports any more.
I'm a very competitive person - I grew up playing sports - so the challenge of always bettering myself is something that I like.
I'm a competitive person by nature, and I have been in competitive companies, and I love to compete - joining a company where, certainly, there is a real fire in the belly to compete and bring that energy is something I look forward to.
I've always been kind of a strategic thinking person - I love sports for instance, but my interest in sports is 'cause I love watching strategy in action or playing it. I'm not into the drama so much, of the physical action. I'm interested in the coach and how he's strategizing.
Beauty is not the goal of competitive sports, but high-level sports are a prime venue for the expression of human beauty.
I'm a very competitive person. I always have been. And it's hard to be competitive about something as amorphous as acting. But you can be competitive on the track, because the rules are very simple and the declaration of the winner is very concise.
I've always thought that my exposure to competitive sports helped me a great deal in the operating room. It teaches you endurance, and it teaches you how to cope with defeat, and with complications of all sort. I think I'm a well-coordinated person, more than average, and I think that came through my interest in sports, and athletics... Playing basketball you have to make decisions promptly, and that's true in the operating room as well.
I felt comfortable in the water. I was in my own world, focused. I love sports and I'm a very goal-oriented person. Once I started falling in love with sports, it was easy. I was able to put my mind on something and go for it. That's how I am with everything, it doesn't matter what it is that I do. If I want to do something, nothing will stand in my way.
I do consider myself a competitive person, but I'm not competitive to the point where I will do anything to win. I wouldn't step on somebody just to get to the next level. I would have to do it fair and square. I'm kind of competitive in a way to where I like to figure out things myself, and if I need help, I'll ask.
Growing up with brothers, I've always been a very competitive person and also very involved in sports. So when I was younger, whatever sport I was involved in, I wanted to go to the Olympics for that!
I'm not into being competitive. I never saw myself as a competitive type of person.
I could never be a sports writer, unless my assignment was to write 'sports sports sports sports sports' for three pages.
I've never felt competitive; I'm not a competitive person. In general, I try not to be!
I'm a hugely proud Welsh person. I just love it - it's something very special, being Welsh.
