A Quote by Alain Robert

I see myself as a climber and an activist. — © Alain Robert
I see myself as a climber and an activist.
I don't see myself as an activist. I understand that people, with me doing 'Satyameva Jayate,' for example, they will feel that I'm being an activist, but I'm not. Actually, I'm not, because I think an activist, as I see it, as a person who is very, very - takes up one issue and remains with that one issue for his entire life. I'm not doing that.
I don't necessarily see myself or consider myself an activist, but I feel like I have a platform, and I'm going to utilize it to the best of my ability.
I never really saw myself as an activist but at some point the activist is the only moral position to take.
I'm a rock climber, a high-altitude climber, an adventurer, a storyteller through my museums, and a writer of more than 50 books.
I don't necessarily see myself as an activist, running down the street and knocking at every door.
the deepest part of me is, and will always be, a climber. ... No matter where I go, I always feel like a climber.
I firstly don't think of myself as an activist, I never have. I always say that, I think this word "activist" is relatively recent one. I don't remember when people started being called that or what it means. It reduces both writers and activists, it makes it seem as though a writer's job is to just keep people entertained with best-selling books and the activist's job to keep on repeating the same thing without a great deal of subtlety and intelligence. I don't think either is the case.
I don't think of myself as a grading barometer and I doubt if any climber could be one.
For years I was a rock climber and nothing else. I went to school, yes, and university, yes, but in my heart I was a rock climber.
I intensely dislike the word 'critic,' because it puts you in an antagonistic position to artists. I've learned everything that I know about art from artists... I see myself as an advocate and an activist and a writer.
Newspapers ascribe the word "climber" to any person who falls in the mountains or off a rock. To refer to anyone who falls in the mountains as... a climber... is as factual as to say that anyone who sits down at a piano is a pianist.
When I hear the words 'activist filmmaking,' I think of somebody who's an activist, who wants to prove a particular point.
I wouldn't describe myself as an activist.
I would be an activist but never a politician. As an activist, nobody owns you.
I'm always the one with the activist friends. I've been an activist very little.
I consider myself a rock climber but the definition of rock climbing as has changed.
