A Quote by Brad Henry

A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning. — © Brad Henry
A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning.
I saw as a teacher how, if you take that spark of learning that those children have, and you ignite it, you can take a child from any background to a lifetime of creativity and accomplishment.
You just hope that your kids find what they love to do and abide by the law and make good decisions. The best you can do is instill such values in them.
Before I started (college), that's the advice my dad gave me. He said to pick classes based on the teacher whenever you can, not the subject...his point was that good teachers are priceless. They inspire you, they entertain you, and you end up learning a ton even when you don't know it.
Fear cannot be without hope nor hope without fear. [They are the two sides of a coin, so learning how to manage fear through learning, understanding, rationality, controlled imagination, preparation, mental focus (including distraction) and a gratitude attitude is very helpful.]
That's what we storytellers do. We restore order with imagination. We instill hope again and again and again.
I think I've got a decent imagination. I hope some of my stories inspire other young imaginations.
It is good to love God for hope of reward, but it is better to love God for love's sake; and the prayer goes: O Lord, I do not want wealth nor children nor learning. If it be Thy will, I shall go from birth to birth. But grant me this, that I may love thee without the hope of reward 'love' unselfishly for love's sake.
Meeting with people is awesome in every sense of the word. It can inspire you with glee. It can inspire you with happiness. It can inspire you with sadness and melancholy, but also hope.
I hope to instill, in every child I meet, my love and enthusiasm for reading and stories.
When I came to NXT I didn't know anything. It's an amazing place to be and no matter how long you are there there's always gonna instill something in you that can ignite you the fire in you and help you to succeed no matter where you're at.
A book is a device to ignite the imagination.
Love of goodness without love of learning degenerates into simple-mindedness. Love of knowledge without love of learning degenerates into utter lack of principle. Love of faithfulness without love of learning degenerates into injurious disregard of consequences. Love of uprightness without love of learning degenerates into harshness. Love of courage without love of learning degenerates into insubordination. Love of strong character without love of learning degenerates into mere recklessness.
Living without expectations is hard but, when you can do it, good. Living without hope is harder, and that is bad. You have got to have hope, and you must'nt shirk it. Love, after all, hopeth all things. But maybe you must learn, and it is hard learning, not to hope out loud, especially for other people. You must not let your hope turn into expectation.
I am a teacher at heart. My goal is to inspire and energize audiences with ideas and possibilities that will challenge them to expand their perceptions of teaching and learning and dare to consider our professional future with optimism and excitement.
Learning to see love and to express that love is the purpose of living this life. What's real has love at its heart; the universe is constructed from love, and that love is very much tied to our power of attention and imagination.
I'm learning a lot about how to be one of the 'good' actors. You'd hope that it's natural to be a good person, and kind, but I'm learning how to deal with long, sometimes boring days.
