I'm happy to be alive and to play any sport and, really, I wouldn't mind working for a living and playing at weekends.
Growing up in South Australia, you didn't really hear about wrestling much. It was mostly on the weekends at stupid hours in the morning when I was playing sport.
Sport for me is about inspiring kids. Here's the rules, here's the play area, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. This is all about teaching kids how to approach life. If we're not playing sport to benefit kids, I'm not really sure why we play sport.
I think sport can play a really positive role in young girls' lives and be great to see as many of them playing sport as possible.
My family are very happy that I'm playing with Ireland. It's my dad's side, and he's really, really proud. He wants me to play for Ireland, and I'm really happy to play for Ireland.
I don't really mind where I play, as long as I'm playing. I'm just happy to be on the pitch - as long as it's not defensive.
My favorite was always whichever sport was in season. I think these days it's almost saddening to see kids who are 10 or 11 and are forced to choose one sport and specialize in that sport and play that sport year-round. By playing different sports... you become a better all-around athlete.
When what you do is play characters every day, all day, I wasn't really interested in playing a pop star on the weekends.
Baseball is already the world's most tranquil sport. It is probably the only active sport where you are not seriously required to be alive to play.
My momma was working very hard, doing three jobs... she just worked her butt off, man. On the weekends she started to play this song called 'Living for the Weekend.'
I got cast playing the best baseball player anybody's ever seen. I don't know how to play any sport, including baseball, but I trained really hard. They had these great coaches, and they started saying, "Wow, you have some like really untapped athletic ability."
If you like working out in a gym over playing a sport, then you should go ahead and do it. It is about what your mind has a liking towards.
Any time you can say you play the sport you love for a living, it's pretty cool. You can't beat that.
I'd be happy to play anyone's girlfriend. I'm happy to be working, ever. It's not an intentional thing to play these messed up, crazy characters, but I'm happy to do it 'cause someone's got to.
If it weren't for this, I'd probably be working a normal job and playing on the weekends for 10 people at the Irvine Spectrum.
We all play this sport - well, many players say they play this sport because they love it - it's their passion. I never really did it like that.
We, as sportsmen, we're not used to just sitting at home and being at home all day. We want to go out. We want to play sport. We want to be in the gym, want to train; we want to hit balls, and when you're not physically able to do that, it's really tough. It starts playing on the mind a lot more.
