Prancing around on stage is not the entire purpose of my life. — © Grace Slick
Prancing around on stage is not the entire purpose of my life.
Nothing like a bit of 'The Best of Times' before prancing around on stage.
Prancing around with marshmallowss on your nipples does *not* constitute living your life fully!
The first one I remember singing on stage was 'Somewhere Out There' from 'An American Tail.' I was around 7, and my choir teacher at school asked me if I would sing it. My parents told me that I needed to move around the stage, so for the entire time I just walked back and forth from side to side while I was singing - there's videotape of it.
Build pockets of stillness into your life. Meditate. Go for walks. Ride your bike going nowhere in particular. There is a creative purpose to daydreaming, even to boredom. The best ideas come to us when we stop actively trying to coax the muse into manifesting and let the fragments of experience float around our unconscious mind in order to click into new combinations. Without this essential stage of unconscious processing, the entire flow of the creative process is broken.
You might be a rock and roll addict prancing on the stage. You might have drugs at your command, women in a cage.
It was all men, and there I was prancing around in gowns that barely got past the censors.
You see, what is my purpose of performance artist is to stage certain difficulties and stage the fear the primordial fear of pain, of dying, all of which we have in our lives, and then stage them in front of audience and go through them and tell the audience, 'I'm your mirror; if I can do this in my life, you can do it in yours.'

Growing up, I was always prancing around and singing... and I just never really stopped.
I realized that I had been living a great part of my life like an ostrich, with my head stuck in the sand. Now I see that I was just prancing around my magical circle while the walls of my prison were being erected by other people.
I like rock and roll t-shirts, tight jeans, and sneakers or boots. Really just laid back, sort of rock and roll. I'm a sneaker person. I don't really like to wear high heels. I'm always really paranoid when I'm on stage playing guitar that I'm going to trip over one of the cords when I'm prancing around so I have on wedges or shoes that are not too high.
The purpose that you were created Man is exactly this: to prove, you too, with your life and with your work that everything can and should be done without any purpose. To be accomplished as the entire creation is accomplished.
When you think Tink, you should just think of me as that around-the-way girl - relatable and honest. Even in my lifestyle, my entire aura is real. I don't sugarcoat anything, whether I'm on stage or home in Chicago or just behind the scenes just chilling. I'm the same person you see on stage, always.
As an actress, one of the perks is having access to ridiculously expensive clothing and prancing around on the red carpet. Who wouldn't want to have fun with that?
I've been on the stage my entire life as an actor.
I jump around in the plotting stage, where I basically just make a bulleted list of every damn thing that happens in the entire book.
