I think guards need to be able to have a post up in their game when mismatches happen and I think post players need to have an outside game, and that's something I've always worked on.

I know that as a young player I need to work hard for the team, work extra in training and in the game as well so that they will see that you need more games and you need to play.
Either you came to eat hamburgers and steaks before the game or you came to play. We don't need any hamburger-eaters, we need players. The guys that really have energy and get excited about the game usually can't eat pregame meal.
If you were in a game of football always think you need maybe eight to win the game. Three can on an off day or semi off day but you always hard. And the players recognize that and they'll do that extra to make sure they get winning. The essence of the team is to understand and trust each other and to trust me.
You need young, hungry, developing players in your team, but you also need that experience to level things out and get hold of some of the youngsters when they need advice in certain areas of the pitch.
I look at the England job. It's not always about being the greatest coach. You've got less than a week before most matches. So do the players need actual coaching, or do they need to be set up in a team structure that works, and then pointed in the right direction? Create spirit, take away the fear.
We need to be aware of what we need to do at every moment... and we have to manage the game; that's the art of a great team.

I've always driven big SUVs. I'm from Maine, and there's a point to driving a big SUV in Maine. I don't really need a 4WD in L.A., but on the 405, people are crazy, and you need a tank. I like the visibility factor.
