We've both with Justine Beck done other things - and do other things - outside of Glassjaw. But Glassjaw's the most shining professional thing I've been part of. And the fact it's happening on the scale is both an honor and it's funny. Its hysterical. It's a fun ride. The whole world's different.
I always enjoy working with an international crew and director. But on the set of a Hollywood action film - now that's a whole other world. The sheer grand scale of the way things are done over there makes me envious; it's just so different from the way things are done in Japan.
Professionally, I'm proud that Glassjaw has gotten to this moment, and that Justin Beck and I are making another record and some zany things are going on. It's on the tip of my tongue all day every day, between the press and the experience of putting ourselves out there, and putting our personalities out there to be judged and to have amassed a whole unit of music, and how it's really a celebration of our friendship. I'm really proud of it.
Nothing is the same. I don't have one emotion that's the same. Everything is totally different; I'm a different person, the whole industry is totally different from when Glassjaw was first trying to approach it and put a record out.
I've been doing both music and acting since I was pretty little. Just for fun. Being able to peruse both professionally is the greatest thing in the whole world.
