I've written some poetry, but...songs have to be more poetic, and I've really gotten to this non-poetic sort of writing.
I was taught that poems don't end, they just kind of stop. There's never an ending to a poem; it's a continuation for later. When I write, I write for me, and I write in poetic form.

Let's stand together, stick together, and work together for justice of every description. Racial justice. Gender justice. Immigrant justice. Economic justice. Environmental justice.
Barring wacky nonsense, I'm going to end my career in a Ring of Honor ring. And that to me is fine. It's poetic justice.
Have not all poetic truths been already stated? The essence of a poetic truth is that no statement of it can be final.
I think that things are poetic when they don't have a boundary. Without rules. My life is poetic.
The poetic myths are dead; and the poetic image, which is the myth of the individual, reigns in their stead.
I want you to understand that racial justice is not about justice for those who are black or brown; racial justice is about American justice. Justice for LGBT Americans is not about gay and lesbian justice; it's about American justice. Equality for women isn't about women; it's about United States equality. You cannot enjoy justice anywhere in this country until we make sure there is justice everywhere in this country.
