A Quote by Leslie Mann

I didn't think, 'I want to do dramas or I want to do comedies' - I wasn't clear in that way. — © Leslie Mann
I didn't think, 'I want to do dramas or I want to do comedies' - I wasn't clear in that way.
You know what I want? The answer is, I truly don't know what I want. I don't want to do a television series. I want to do dramas as well as comedies, but I have no idea what kind or in what order. Just give me the chance at them.
I think I'm interested in these kinds of character dramas, psychological dramas, domestic dramas, whatever you want to call them - comedy dramas.
I love down-and-dirty and grit. But I do think that my favorite dramas are ones that are dark comedies because I think that the only way the audience and the actor can really go as dark and deep as you may want to go is if there's some levity added to it.
I'm proud of everything I've done. If it's comedy, it's 'cause I think it's funny. If it's a drama, it's impactful. I'm leaning towards dramas now because I wrapped a couple comedies in a row. I don't like watching myself, but it's easier on me when I don't have to carry a lot of the comedy. But I enjoy making comedies but dramas come more naturally.
It's not like I want to be Prince Charming when I do dramas. But I think I've always shown such an image because that's just the way Korean dramas work.
I want to do dramas. I want to do comedies.
I've made a way to allow myself to do big films, small films, dramas, comedies, action films, horror films, or whatever interests me, as a movie-goer. I like watching myself in movies. I want to choose movies that allow me to enjoy myself, the way that I want to entertain myself.
There are as many great superhero movies as there are comedies and dramas and cartoons. People just want to see good movies.
There's certain people you want to see in comedies; there's certain people you just want to see in dramas. Not that there aren't individuals who do both, but it's not everyone.
A lot of Christmas episodes of comedies are comedies trying to be dramas.
I would say 80% of the scripts I get are dramas and not comedies or romantic comedies, which is funny because that's what I do every week.
Comedies always need to be provocative and catch your attention in a way that dramas don't have to.
I think people like comedies and I think concept driven comedies seem to be working when it's a clear concept and you deliver funny stuff.
The dark comedies tend to be in a non-releasable area. There can be romantic comedies. There can be dramas. But there's no 'dark comedy' inbox for the advertising.
I think comedies should be short. I don't want to be self-indulgent; I don't want a two-hour comedy.
I've always wanted to do non-comedies, I've always done dramas, comedies, music, and I always like to bop around and do different things.
