A Quote by Lukas Foss

My students frequently ask what their next project should be. My advice: immerse yourself in the music you love and you will find what you want to do; you will discover your next project.
I have no idea what the next project will be and if there's a next project. I don't even know if we're all going to be here tomorrow, but I'm pretty optimistic.
I try to just be open to what the next experience is and how it makes me feel, just reading a project, or trying to get involved with a project, or thinking about a project, and what particular emotional flavor that brings. To me, it's never really about planning the next thing, or the career arc. It's about investigating how I feel, from project to project, and finding things that I haven't explored and what that would be like.
My next project will be a Christian album, another one. I wrote the songs for the ones you're referring to, but I want to do some of my old gospel favorites. That's what my next album's going to be.
I never had a lot of ideas. I always have exactly one that is the next project; the idea of a project beyond that project is ludicrous.
You cannot make promises because you never know what your next project will be.
Time passes faster and faster, but with every project I always want to find the next challenge and the next challenge is just as exciting as the previous one.
The best advice I can give you is to ask yourself what do you want, then ask 'what is true' - and then ask yourself 'what should be done about it.' I believe that if you do this you will move much faster towards what you want to get out of life than if you don't!
One of the things that's been nice about my career is that I've been able to do so many different things, and variety keeps your creative soul fulfilled. I'm constantly looking to find new things to do. It's just project to project for me. You never know where the next thing's going to come from.
The incredible story of progress that is America has always been built by those who ask why, what if, and why not. Our schools must begin instilling that wonder in our children again so that their generation will unite around the next great project of our time, whether it be declaring America energy independent or launching the next great technological revolution.
Do you see that I cherish you beyond question, that you have nothing to prove to me? You are making your journey to secure yourself. I am already tethered to your side. if you can love yourself as I love you there will be no dislocation --- you will be whole. Bring yourself home to me and I will immerse you in very ounce of tenderness I possess. - Sabine Strohem
As far as advice, that will be in my next book, my next collection. I certainly never like to instruct anyone, but just say as I feel. That's the same as advice, isn't it?
Although I love working and making movies and that will always be the priority, I really do love continuing my education. It's great to be active and learning instead of sitting around waiting for a phone call for the next project.
I just wanna make music that people love. If they love the next project that I put out, 'Thank you' because that means that I can take care of my family.
Just because one tribe piles on you, take shelter and continue to work towards your next goal, your next project. Don't be discouraged and remember that there are many fans of your work rooting for you to succeed.
The next big project, you yourself have to conceive.
Between books, I have to throw out everything I did before, because the tools I've used to write the previous book will not only not work for the next project, they will ruin it.
