I always have lipstick, and use the same lipstick for my cheeks as blush, so that it looks very natural. It's a good trick I learned from my mother. I like NYX or MAC because they have a lot of pigment and they're matte.
My idea of no makeup on actors is really no makeup. I mean, they can be wearing makeup. I don't care what they're wearing as long as it looks like they're not wearing makeup. But an actress will suddenly appear with some lipstick on. And that's makeup. Keener's character wears makeup. Her character would wear makeup. I try to stay true to whoever that person is. I hate that kind of thing where you're waking up in the morning with makeup on in a movie. I just think it pulls you out of the movie.
When I'm wearing red lipstick, I'll never do anything with my eyes. And it's so easy - you just put on red lipstick, and your whole face just seems done.
I laughed and laughed so much my lip burst open and collagen filler started to dribble out. I'd had a bit too much filler put in the week before.
I love to go all out - once I start doing my makeup, I kind of tend to do a lot of it. So like foundation, contour, highlight, eyeliner, shadow, lashes, lipstick - everything! But I really, really love my contours.
I like smudgy black eyes and pale lips for evening. Red lipstick looks great on other girls, but its too much on me.

During my 40s, I thought I couldn't wear red lipstick. I thought it was just too much and I couldn't do it anymore. I don't know why. But now, I'm going to wear red lipstick for as long as I want.
I put on lip balm first thing in the morning and always use it before I swipe on my red lipstick.
I do a combo situation of lotion and body makeup and put it on with my moisturizer in the morning. That seems to work best for me because self-tanning lotion always streaks and looks kind of crazy. So I put on some body makeup and wash it off at night. I have to do it every day, but that's just a part of my life now.
It sounds crazy, but I promise you it's true; wearing red lipstick really can change the course of a night out
Red lipstick has been my beauty staple for years. I show up to Pilates or yoga at 8 A.M. wearing my red lipstick.
On a couple of occasions I wore dark red lipstick, and nobody likes me in red lipstick!
Those in the international community that refuse to put red lines before Iran don't have a moral right to place a red light before Israel.
My mom used to sell Avon when my mom was a kid for about three years, and so it was like the first make up I saw. And when I first found out about makeup it was Avon makeup and I remember putting my mom's red lipstick on my cheeks and thinking that is where it went, and that was Avon. So it's weird how your life turns out and how things come round, and it is brilliant.
I take the palette with me, but I have a lot of makeup. I was a makeup artist when I was younger, but I'm not that good compared with my makeup artist, so I keep things pretty simple. I explore a lot with pink and nude lipsticks, but I love red lipsticks. I love a line and a lash and a brow. So I don't need a lot, but I have a lot. It's all there just in case - for Halloween or whatever.
