Ruby Woo by MAC is my fav.
When I don't feel like getting ready, just a pop of colour on the lips does the trick for me. I have this fond liking for RUBY WOO from Mac. It's a Matte red colour and makes all the difference.
I always have lipstick, and use the same lipstick for my cheeks as blush, so that it looks very natural. It's a good trick I learned from my mother. I like NYX or MAC because they have a lot of pigment and they're matte.
If you say, "Woo, woo, woo!" to me, I'll say it back. I love it. "Woo, woo, woo" is something that my character used to say. It's something that my mother used to say to my brother and me when we were kids. When words would fail her, she'd just go, "Oh, woo, woo, woo." It's compassion. It's a combination of "I see you, I feel you, I acknowledge you, I got your back."
If I'm feeling down in the dumps, or like I need a pop of colour, I'll put on MAC's Lipstick in Lady Danger. I discovered red lipstick when I did the Oscar season: Chanel sent me one and I realised how classic and glamorous it can be.
I like to mix it up with vintage '70s stuff and I like to wear a lot of guys' clothes. As far as night stuff, I have my stylist direct me in the right way. We have a vintage glamour, age-appropriate, pretty thing going.
I always carry lip balm and lipstick. Lipstick is a very important beauty product because I find that lips are the most beautiful feature of anyone's face.
It has no color to it. If you can rap good, you can rap good. I look at Mac Miller, who’s one of my homies, and I look at Wiz Khalifa, who’s one of my homies, and I don’t look at Mac different because he’s white. He’s my homie.
It's interesting for me because in my work, a lot of times, I like to scrutinize the clothes and think what's going to make them look dated, and I do the same with vintage. In vintage, you want something unique and different, but at the same time, something that doesn't make you look like you dress like a grandpa.
When I first started wearing blue lipstick, it was a MAC gloss that they had. Everyone was making fun of me, and I was like, 'Watch - this is going to be cool one day.'
When I first got to Apple, which was in '84, the Mac was already out, and 'Newsweek' contacted me and asked me what I thought of the Mac. I said, 'Well, the Mac is the first personal computer good enough to be criticized.'
I need someone to woo me. Magazines are always saying I am beautiful and millions of men want to woo me, but none has come forward because they are all so scared.
Come, woo me, woo me, for now I am in a holiday humor, and like enough to consent.
I always carry a Tom Ford lipstick and Tachta face blotters to get me through the day.
Looking good Matt, you look like a money.
My mother and my great-aunt told me stories, like how when my grandfather first met my grandmother at a party, he noticed her long legs and was like, 'Woo woo!' I like to incorporate those stories into my music. They just seem to fit.
