Cricket is not rocket science. Bowlers often get wickets through perseverance, accuracy and being patient rather than trying to blast opposition teams out.
In one-day cricket, we should not think that we can win easily against any team. There have been examples when big teams have lost to small sides.
I am happy that we are not favorites. To be very honest it's big pressure of being favorites. We were not favorites last time (in 2011) too but we played excellent cricket. Similarly this time, there are teams which play on those bouncy wickets like Australia and South Africa, and are probably bigger favorites than us. But we hope that with the type of resources we have we can do well.
I like to take wickets and see wickets and chances and I think in T20 cricket you have to risk a boundary to take a wicket.
If you are good enough to play international cricket, you can take wickets - but you have to bowl the right length.
Opening for the first time in Test cricket, I scored 128 against the likes of Sarfraz Nawaz and Imran Khan.
No matter where I end up in terms of wickets or the number of matches that I play, I think people will always remember me taking 10 wickets. So it is something that is always going to be special for me and for Indian cricket.
I don't agree that there are big teams and small teams in the Premier League. There are just a lot of good teams.
It always feels good to score goals against big teams.
If you win one or two matches at home on good wickets, on grassy wickets, you'll develop confidence automatically.
I was not picked immediately at any level, be it Under-14, Under-16 or Under-19. So apart from my batting, I bowled legspin. In one of the selection tournaments for Mumbai Under-19, I happened to pick 34 wickets. So I was finally picked, but as a bowling allrounder.
As a bowler, there are times when you do not get wickets, and you don't have the numbers to show against your name. But never has the thought crossed my mind that I am not a confident bowler and the wickets are not coming my way.
If you are bowling well and not getting wickets, it's not a big issue. Sometimes I am economical, but not getting enough wickets. But if I am not bowling well and not getting wickets, then it's a disturbing thing.
I had to deal with it so often, I found ways of making a point against racism. When I played against Real Zaragoza, they chanted like monkeys and threw peanuts on the pitch. So when I scored, I danced in front of them like a monkey. When the same thing happened against Real Madrid, I scored and held my fist in a Black Power salute.
English conditions have changed over the years. Lots of runs are being scored in one-day cricket now in England, pitches are good for batting.
English football is a lot different to Spanish football but Soldado is an international for Spain, he is a player who has become accustomed to playing against great teams - and he has always scored goals.
