My fellow liberals need to open their minds and realize that not all Trump supporters are racist, sexist, or deplorable individuals.
You could put half of Trump's supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right? The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic - you name it.
You know, just to be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump's supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. They're racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic - you name it.
I mean people are sexist and racist and homophobic and violent. But I don't think of the rappers as being any more sexist or racist or homophobic than their parents. Certainly less, in all those cases, less homophobic or racist or sexist, and then less gangster than our government. It's stuff that people normally don't speak on, subjects they don't speak on, and ideas they kind of keep to themselves.
The Democrat Party have no education in critical thinking or common sense or common sense perception. None of it. They just seethe when they hear this stuff because it's all creating knee-jerk reactions: "Racist, sexist, bigot, homophobe! Racist, sexist, bigot! Racist!" It's paralyzing us, folks, as a country. We are in a state of paralyses. These people are retarding our progress.
Regardless of how deplorable Trump is, using violence and physical attacks against his supporters is unacceptable and grossly counterproductive.
[Trump's worldview states] that, for example, women are incompetent as compared to men in business settings. That women in general are intellectually inferior and have to make up for that by using their sexuality to get ahead. That women of color are angry, irrational, lazy, and always ready to get into a fight for no reason. That men in the workplace can say incredibly racist and sexist things, and as long as they make more money than their competitors, the racist and sexist things they say and do are totally acceptable.
I can very much look into the camera and say, 'I believe Donald Trump is a racist.' You don't get to make textbook racist remarks for a year and not be a racist. You don't get to make textbook sexist remarks for a year and not be a misogynist.
I don`t know if this is good politics or bad politics to criticize Trump, but you`ve got to call out, just like people in communities when people say racist things and feel it`s OK now to be a sexist or a racist or a misogynist or a bigot, individuals have to call them out, I have to call them out when I see it. You have to call out this president when he engages, when he hires somebody that makes people even more uncomfortable. I mean, it`s not a difference in policy. People in this country, the fear levels are higher than I can ever remember.
Trump has the opportunity to be a Founding Father. You know why? Because Jeff Sessions comes from Alabama, where the constitution is staunchly racist. So it's not whether Sessions is racist but where he comes from. Trump can bring him in the mix and they open up a chance to do what a freedom fighter doesn't If Trump can help change what Sessions has been taught all his life, he can do more for the uplifting of the downtrodden than anyone else.
When liberals dismiss all Trump supporters as racists, this only fuels their anger.
I'm not saying all Trump supporters are deplorable, but I am saying that the president of the United States has got to measure his words and be more careful about what he says.
I think a lot of the people that stand by Donald Trump are deplorable. And the things that they say are deplorable.
What Donald Trump has done is to make it possible for people who had racist, sexist, and all kinds of prejudices and bigotry to put them right out there.
If anti-Trump activists in journalism and politics want to put out stories that actually change Trump supporters' opinions, they will have to begin to understand what Trump supporters' opinions are.
There's no question that Donald Trump has had ample opportunity to distance himself from the kind of racist language that comes from some of his supporters.
I wouldn't want to generalize, but we still do live in a society that's sexist and racist and addicted to class and has the ridiculous idea that if you have money you're smarter, which Donald Trump by himself should be able to disprove.
