Invest in yourself, in your education. There's nothing better. — © Sylvia Porter
Invest in yourself, in your education. There's nothing better.
You've got to invest your own time, invest your own resources into creating a better world, not only for yourself but for the people you surround yourself with.
What I believe is the more we can do for the middle class, the more we can invest in you, your education, your skills, your future, the better we will be off and the better we'll grow. That's the kind of economy I want us to see again.
Control is not leadership; management is not leadership; leadership is leadership is leadership. If you seek to lead, invest at least 50% of your time leading yourself-your own purpose, ethics, principles, motivation, conduct. Invest at least 20% leading those with authority over you and 15% leading your peers. If you don't understand that you work for your mislabeled 'subordinates,' then you know nothing of leadership. You know only tyranny.
At the end of the day, things don't get better unless you continue to invest in your workforce. And I've not heard any Republican talk about education and the investment in the future workforce.
Invest in your brain, invest in your talents. Those things can appreciate and they get better as you get older.
If you look to lead, invest at least 40% of your time managing yourself - your ethics, character, principles, purpose, motivation, and conduct. Invest at least 30% managing those with authority over you, and 15% managing your peers.
Once, a friend’s mom said to me when I was very young 'You can't really invest in your looks as the only thing because it's a depreciating asset. I think this is trueit’s like putting money into a stock that’s going down. Put your money, put your effort, invest in your brain and talent which will appreciate and get better as you get older.
I learned very early in my investing careers: I better not invest in what I want. I better invest in what's happening in the world. Otherwise I'll be broke - dead broke.
Invest in yourself first. Expect nothing from no one and be willing to work for everything.
It's not just that people with no education have worse health. People with a bit of education at somewhat better, with a lot of education it's even better. And with even more education it's better still.
Placing a halo around your own head by saying 'I am a pacifist' and 'I don't believe in using violent tactics' doesn't make the world a better place. It might make YOUR world better and YOU might feel better about YOURSELF, but it does NOTHING whatsoever for the victims.
There's nothing more, nothing better in life to wake up in the morning, look at yourself in the mirror, and feel comfortable with yourself and who you are.
The most important thing you can do for yourself is get an education. Learn, listen, and respond. You have to study and practice to get better at your craft and to widen your skill set.
The more relaxed you are, the better you are at everything: the better you are with your loved ones, the better you are with your enemies, the better you are at your job, the better you are with yourself.
There is nothing to practice. To know yourself, be yourself. To be yourself, stop imagining yourself to be this or that. Just be. Let your true nature emerge. Don't disturb your mind with seeking.
Any way you can invest in yourself to make you play better is a good thing.
