When someone intelligent comes around, and looks at life around football in a different way, it can be alien. — © Sol Campbell
When someone intelligent comes around, and looks at life around football in a different way, it can be alien.
Intelligent life can't be all that common because it's really rare on Earth and especially since we define ourselves to be intelligent. But in the eyes of an alien coming here who has the technology to make it here, they might observe us and conclude that there's no sign of intelligent life on Earth.
I feel Teddy Bridgewater is an accurate passer. He's a leader who wants to make everyone else around him better. Someone who's a hard worker, someone who smart with the football and takes care of the football. Someone who competes at a high level on a consistent basis.
I come from a visual background, and I grew up around a lot of hippies and artists. My mom and my brother and I moved around a lot. We basically moved every couple of years, and I went to a lot of different schools. But creativity, for us, was always a way of life. It was never a job. Being an artist was a passion and a way of life.
A lot of people are frightened by old age - by being around people who are, basically, on their way out - but I'm fascinated by it. It's an amazing thing to be around someone who has had a life well lived.
Someone who's fake is someone who acts one way around their family and their close friends, but once they get out in the public, they're this whole different person.
Football can make things different, and football can make change around the world. I hope football can do something for Korea.
I think that's part of the beautiful game. It's kind of this special relationship that happens in football, where you get kind of influenced by the people around you and the different cultures around you and it allows you to grow and develop.
I feel like an expressionist nihilist deep in my heart. And I think nihilism can stop the wheel from going around, around, around, around, around - saying the same thing, reacting the same way.
If you were ever to interview me after a football game or at a football game or around me during football season is totally different than when you catch me away from football.
When you get new people around you, the excitement is new because they have different take on your music. They play it in a different way, and that's always exciting to be around. It elevates everybody onstage.
Football was so over-awing, so intense, just everything in your life. You couldn't go anywhere, really, with my dad and the circus around football became too much for me at a young age. I fell back in love with it probably around 13-14. It was much to do with the camaraderie, the team-work and being part of a team.
I have asked the village blacksmith to forge golden chains to tie our ankles together. I have gathered all the gay ribbons in the world to wind around and around and around and around and around and around again around our two waists.
But his words fall away. He looks confused. He looks flustered and sorry. Like you do when you run up to someone you think you know and take her arm and she turns around and you were wrong.
I'm still very affected and moved by their music - maybe in a way that's different from someone who grew up around it.
The path you're on looks different when you turn around.
Brothers and sisters, with the blessings of modern technology, we can express gratitude and joy about God’s great plan for His children in a way that can be heard not only around our workplace but around the world. Sometimes a single phrase of testimony can set events in motion that affect someone’s life for eternity.
