If Mauricio Pochettino can get the sack, then we all can because he did a wonderful job at Tottenham.
I've got the utmost respect for Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham.
For its part, one of the keys of Tottenham is that it has players who know each other very well for two or three years. They have not made changes and are managed by the same coach, Mauricio Pochettino. Therefore, they perfectly apply the idea of team and style of play.
I worked with Mauricio Pochettino and even as a player, he had certain mannerisms and his body language. There was so much to learn from.
Working under Pep Guardiola, a chance like that doesn't come along too often. That's no disrespect to Mauricio Pochettino, but the people that Pep has worked with grow as players.
One of the reasons I chose Tottenham is the way Pochettino thinks and how he plays. I really like that.
I had the privilege of working under Mauricio for five-and-a-half years and now, I have to be honest, I never thought I would be managed by Jose Mourinho at Tottenham.
Pochettino is a manager with a lot of character, so Tottenham applies it in the field. That's why they have eliminated big clubs like Manchester City or Ajax.
I'm gonna give them the advice that I always took myself, that it's better to get to know somebody before you jump into the sack with them. Because then if you jump into the sack and fall in love, and you liked them already, you're home free.
Mauricio Pochettino - he was my captain at PSG and I always knew he would become a manager. He has taken a lot of influence from Marcelo Bielsa, who was his coach with Argentina; they used to talk about things a lot, and now you can see that his teams are really aggressive, both when attacking and defending.
When we won the league at Tottenham, they came back 2-2 in the last-minute of the game, and they're celebrating - because they're happy to draw against us, obviously. And I remember saying to Mauricio Tarricco, do you realise we only need a point to be Champions? And they all [were really shocked]. So I said 'Yes. Now we're going to celebrate on your pitch. Bye bye!'
It was Tottenham at home. I thought: 'Please don't go on about Tottenham, we all know what Tottenham are about. They are nice and tidy but we'll f****** do them.' Alex came in and said: 'Lads, it's only Tottenham.' And that was it! Brilliant!
You do actor's job for intense scenes like this - you dream about them - and you get scared until the day it finally happens. But when you feel safe with your partners, the crew, and your director who all did a wonderful job, you get into the zone quickly.
I didn't have a job because nobody would hire me. My friends were getting hired, and I couldn't even get a job interview. That really rocked my self-esteem because I didn't understand what I did wrong on those job applications.
I did a few more plays, and then I went to L.A., because I knew I could get a coaching job there.
I don't want to be overly critical about our military or our intelligence people, because it's a tough job. But neither should think be beating their breasts and saying what a wonderful job they did.
I went into a club who were sitting dead last in League Two, then I got them out of the relegation zone within 10 games, only to then get the sack... I don't get it.
