Getting old is not for sissies, kid. — © Frank Langella
Getting old is not for sissies, kid.
Getting old is not for sissies.
Old age ain't for sissies
Old age is not for sissies.
Old age is no place for sissies.
All I see is sissies in magazines smiling... Whatever happened to wildin' out and being violent? Whatever happened to catching a good, old-fashioned, passionate ass whoopin'? And getting your shoes, coat and your hat tooken?
I want to be me, and the Arizona Cardinals know what they are getting. They are not getting a kid that is going to say stupid things and piss people off unnecessarily. They are going to get a kid that everyone knows who they are getting every single day I walk into the building.
If I were involved with the NBA, I wouldn't want a 19-year-old or a 20-year-old kid to bring into all the travel and all the problems that exist in the NBA. I would want a much more mature kid. I would want a kid that maybe I've been watching on another team, and now he's 21, 22 years old instead of 18 or 19, and I might trade for that kid.
Someone once said that you can make the choice between getting old and getting creepy, and I think getting old is the way to go.
It doesn't matter if you're a Victoria's Secret model or you're someone's 90-year-old grandma or you're a little kid who's getting bullied or you're that kid's bully - everybody feels like there's something going on that's more correct than what is. We all have to reach out to one another in that fear, and we'd be surprised to hear, 'Me, too.'
I don't worry about getting old. I'm old already. Only young people worry about getting old. When I was 65, I had Cupid's eczema. I don't believe in dying. It's been done. I'm working on a new exit. Besides, I can't die now - I'm booked.
I didn't mind getting old when I was young. It's the being old now that's getting to me.
I definitely don't consider myself a kid anymore. I feel like an old man, an old 28-year-old.
What's the worst thing about getting old? Getting old.
You are getting too old for this. A man is as old as he feels, woman! And how old do you feel? About ninety.
When you're a kid, somebody's mid-forties, you think they're an old man. Then you grow up and it's like, I was a kid.
You can sit down with your child and prompt him to show you something - perhaps how to play a game [on the computer]. By learning a game, you're getting close to the kid and gaining insight into ways of learning. The kid can see this happening and feels respected, so it fosters the relationship between you and the kid.
