A Quote by Frank Lampard

I'm not the kind of player to see out my time and sit with my bum on the bench too much. I want to be involved. That's my character. — © Frank Lampard
I'm not the kind of player to see out my time and sit with my bum on the bench too much. I want to be involved. That's my character.
If I am honest with myself, a not-insignificant fraction of my enjoyment of any episode of 'Game of Thrones' is delivered in its opening moments. I sit down, settle in, and... BUM-bum, bah-dah-BUM-bum.
I could do with losing a few pounds off my bum, but I enjoy my social life and going out for dinner far too much to have the nicest bum in the world.
I want to see a player on the football field. I want to see what kind of teammate they are, what kind of leadership qualities they have. I want to see how aggressive they are, how much fun they have playing the game.
I didn't want to become a reserve player, or a bench player, and it was time to move on and take on another challenge.
It's frustrating at times when you think you've earned a chance to play on the field and you're over there sitting on the bench. That's not the kind of player I am. I'm the kind of player who wants to be out there on the field and needs to contribute every minute of every game.
Parents needs to spend more time with who they're trusting their kids with. That's one of the nuggets going forward. Find out who these coaches are. Figure out their environment and what kind of problems they have, and see if you want your child involved with that.
Politics has become unbelievably and unfortunately way too much about how much money is involved rather than what kind of ideas are involved.
When I take on a character, it's a sacrifice. There's something that you give up every time. I want to become these characters, and I want to be mysterious, but if you know too much about me, it's not going to be too much fun watching me play a character, because it's just going to be me with a mask on, instead of you believing what the mask is.
If you are the kind of guy who draws in 100 million people to see his film, you've got every right to be paid accordingly, but I qualify as a character actor. I don't put a bum on a seat.
I am a basketball player. For me to sit on the bench at 21, 22, not what I wanted.
I like sharing stuff with people. I feel like it's kind of at their own discretion, you can see too much if you want to see too much.
In small space a player has to be capable of acting quickly. A good player who needs too much time can suddenly become a poor player.
I'm kind of a purist and I actually just want to be a good player, with that said though... I probably should get a little more involved in that as that's what people are doing and making great songs out of their computer so it's kind of like, at what point does purist become arrogance?
It's hard for us not to be involved with things. When you have so much information and you see so much need, there's too much going on for us not to get involved.
I kind of put myself out there a lot just because I trust the people I'm working with. You have to see what works and what doesn't. Sometimes it's not my job to find that out, it's just my job to do what the character calls for. And if you change the character I'll do that too.
Bill Walton, UH Volleyball coach, after his player kept looking at him on the bench every time the ball hit the floor...Next time you look at me I'll put you on the bench where you can see me better. My basic principle is that you don't make decisions because they are easy; you don't make them because they are cheap; you don't make them because they are popular. You make them because they are right.
