Type should be beautiful — Screw readable! — © Ed Benguiat
Type should be beautiful — Screw readable!
I do not think of type as something that should be readable. It should be beautiful.
Great books are readable anyway. Dickens is readable. Jane Austen is readable. John Updike's readable. Hawthorne's readable. It's a meaningless term. You have to go the very extremes of literature, like Joyce's "Finnegan's Wake," before you get a literary work that literally unreadable.
Long Gone is the type of book that should come with a warning. It’s a compulsively readable, highly addictive story. The ending will leave you breathless.
To each his own, but I just think that we women have a certain body type. As Indian women, we have a beautiful body type. And I believe in the celebration of curves. Whether it's Salma Hayek, Penelope Cruz, Zeenat Aman or Shilpa Shetty, they are very curvaceous and beautiful. I don't know why anyone would want to fight that.
O beautiful human life! Tears come to my eyes as I think of it. So beautiful, so inexpressibly beautiful! The song should never be silent, the dance never still, the laugh should sound like water which runs forever.
I'm not the classic type - fair skin, very beautiful women of a classic type, I'm talking about now.
Screw you," I told him in a low voice. "Are you offering?” "From what I've heard, there isn't much to screw," I shot back.
It's meant to be seen rolling so it should be big and readable. Wildstyles on trains didn't make much sense to me when I first started and they still don't today.
Screw the Rangers, and screw the Devils; I work for the Islanders now, and I could care less about them!
If people screw me, I screw back in spades.
You screw me, I screw you back. I'm a lady like that.
It's easier making a smaller film like El Mariachi. There are no budget worries because there is no budget. There is no crew problem because there is no crew. And if you screw up, no one is around to see you screw up -- so it's no longer a screw up.
Schools should be the most beautiful place in every town and village-so beautiful that the punishment for undutiful children should be barred from going to school the following day.
Make no mistake about it, you are dumb. You’re a group of incredibly well-educated dumb people. I was there. We all were there. You’re barely functional. There are some screw-ups headed your way. I wish I could tell you that there was a trick to avoiding the screw-ups, but the screw-ups, they’re a-coming for ya. It’s a combination of life being unpredictable, and you being super dumb.
You might say what if I screw up? Then screw up big! Go for it! Do a big screw-up!
Free Speech in the College Community is a very timely book written by a dedicated scholar of the First Amendment. Challenging and readable it should be studied by all academicians, students, legislators and lawyers.
