Women need to support other women, and we must ensure we are providing women with opportunities that allow them to reach their full potential.
No industry or country can reach its full potential until women reach their full potential. This is especially true of science and technology, where women with a surplus of talent still face a deficit of opportunity.
Women need to support other women, not cut them down. And that goes for recognizable women too.
Starting early in life and in school, we need to ensure women develop the confidence and capabilities to work in a team that will allow them to reach the heights of leadership.
It is proven that when women enter the workforce and find their full potential, their families are healthier, there are more opportunities for women, there's an impact economically, psychologically, physically on our society at large.
There is a misperception among job seekers that opportunities for women in tech exist only for those with coding or engineering experience. To be sure, technology firms do need women with these skills, but they also need women with expertise in other areas, like marketing and finance.
I used to oppose women's suffrage and I've come to support it because these women have convinced me that we need full gender equality for full democratic participation.
Black women must help black men understand their full potential lies not in denying black women full access to their humanity and opportunity, but in working diligently to overcome the odds that hamper our progress. Yes, some of that is self-imposed, and we must confront it; and much of it comes from outside. But without courageous and brilliant black women, our communities are greatly diminished.
It's great when women support women. We need more women out there supporting women.
I know there are certain men that hate women or don't like women, and in order to make women feel small, they tend to isolate them when they bully them. And women are often humiliated by it and feel they can't do anything about it. So my advice to women would be: there's always support around for those sorts of things and if you feel you're isolated in any way, or being bullied, you must talk to someone about it.
Under normal circumstances, women go through a lot; and breast cancer compounds the situation of our daily lives. Supporting other women is paying forward and cementing part of my legacy in giving my time in helping others to either live a better life or reach their full potential.
They [women] can use their abilities to support each other, even as they develop more effective and appropriate ways of dealing with power.... Women do not need to diminish other women[they] need the power to advance their own development, but they do not "need" the power to limit the development of others.
Obviously I want to support women, and I believe in women, and I think we should support each other, but we shouldn't go into extremes. Some women can get very aggressive towards men, but we need men and love men, so keeping the right balance is the most important thing.
I got the opportunity to meet people all over the world. Brilliant women, tall women, short women, slim women, thick women, you name it. But, I don't meet them. I have the opportunities to and it's a little bit - I'm a little shy, so I don't meet them and I don't know who's right for me.
The world has enough women who are tough; we need women who are tender. There are enough women who are coarse; we need women who are kind. There are enough women who are rude; we need women who are refined. We have enough women of fame and fortune; we need more women of faith. We have enough greed; we need more goodness. We have enough vanity; we need more virtue. We have enough popularity; we need more purity.
No industry or country can reach its full potential until women reach their full potential.
I'm so tired of this notion that women only need to support women. Why can't we all support each other?
