A Quote by Genndy Tartakovsky

For me, CG tends to feel watered down and it becomes cold because it's so perfect. — © Genndy Tartakovsky
For me, CG tends to feel watered down and it becomes cold because it's so perfect.
You hear people say that there's too much CG in movies today, but CG is what allows me to take a green-painted wall in a studio and make it disappear, and then put 100 miles of landscape in. CG, in the right hands, can be a marvelous tool.
That bothers me when I see that fashion editors are consultants for brands. It tells me that the designer has lost sight of what he or she really wants to do, and that he or she is listening to the strength of a very strong stylist and being a little watered down - and by watered down, I mean, the strength of the designer's vision. I'm not saying it's easy.
I always prefer things straight up, not cold or watered down. Not big on cocktails either.

We feel cold, but we don't mind it, because we will not come to harm. And if we wrapped up against the cold, we wouldn't feel other things, like the bright tingle of the stars, or the music of the aurora, or best of all the silky feeling of moonlight on our skin. It's worth being cold for that.

If you get angry easily, it may be because the seed of anger in you has been watered frequently over many years, and unfortunately you have allowed it or even encouraged it to be watered.
I don't want to make a perfect film because perfect films are boring and cold.
Whenever I'm feeling down, I remind myself that my flaws make me perfect, because in reality there is no perfect.
I feel like in the '90s, horror just lost its way and everything became so safe and watered-down.
I recently caught myself giving a pretty girl the cold shoulder because I felt intimidated. She was so gorgeous, and it made me feel insecure. I wasn't even aware until someone pointed it out to me. I was so embarrassed! I recognized those thoughts and made a point to be more friendly to her because there was no reason to be cold.
I never want to make a movie which is going to be CG filled, cold, and computerized.
If I'm speaking it means that in one way or another when I say, "I'm cold" it belongs to me: I'm cold. But just by saying this it becomes general.
