CoverGirl putting my face on such an international scale did make a huge leap forward for men in makeup and for boys in beauty and for anybody wanting to express themselves.
I have been wanting to do beauty for years and to pair with an international beauty company. It will solidify the image of Jason Wu as a world. All my shows have a distinctive hair and makeup look. It feels so natural for me; the woman who wears my clothes would have my makeup as part of her beauty regime.
Being in the beauty industry, since there wasn't many men in makeup it was weird and obviously at beauty events we would get weird looks. But over time it's been amazing seeing how accepting everyone is when it comes to boys wearing makeup.
Since 9/11, there has been a huge leap in people wanting to get personally involved in public service and international affairs.

I really like Neutrogena for skin care and CoverGirl makeup. I can't stand heavy makeup. I feel like my skin can't breathe, and CoverGirl is really light.
I think as the beauty industry moves forward, you will start to see more brands opening their eyes and becoming vegan. Excluding a huge part of the beauty consumers who only buy vegan, isn't right and if you can make just as high-quality makeup, why not stop cruelty?
