When it comes to Sandalwood, I loved all the films of Rakshit Shetty and Pawan Kumar.
I can't tell at what age I developed this love towards movies, but I've always enjoyed watching films. I've grown up watching the films of my uncles Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan.
I am busy with other language films apart from Sandalwood.
I grew up watching Pawan Kalyan films and entered the industry with him as a huge inspiration.
I'm a die-hard fan of the Power Star and like using a Pawan Kalyan reference in all my films.
I think my mom is the inspiration of me wanting to do film and TV and be an actor because she loved film so much. She loved, like, horror films and action films, so growing up, she loved watching all the Charles Bronson films and all the westerns.
I don't think there has been a huge shift. Most of the films still focus on Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, etc. The percentage of films that have someone like a Kangana Ranaut shining in it is really low.
The films that I loved growing up were the science fiction films from the late seventies and early eighties [films], which were more about the people and how they are affected by the environments that they are in. Whether they are sort of futuristic or alien of whatever they are; that was the science fiction that I loved. So that is what we tried to make, the sort of film that felt like those old films.
Sandalwood is a force to reckon with. People from all over are investing time and money here because the films have good reach and reap good rewards as well.
I am inspired by the kind of films Raj Kumar Gupta and Imtiaz Ali make.
I have only seen movies of my generation - 'Mother India,' 'Shree 420,' 'Awaara.' Those days, we had actors such as Dilip Kumar, Ashok Kumar.
I really like Akshay Kumar. He can be funny and weird while at the same time. His films are always interesting and meaningful.
I still consider 'Vaastav' and Raj Kumar Santoshi's 'Pukar' two of my better films, though I admit nothing great happened thereafter.
I've always just loved drawing and loved cartoons. Growing up, I loved Disney films, I loved The Simpsons, and I was a big fan of the comic strip Calvin & Hobbes and the way that they would have weird fantasy and then down-to-earth funny character comedy.
I've dubbed for as many number of films as Uttam Kumar has acted in. However, dubbing artistes are never given a recognition and are expected to be conditioned to that too.
I have a request to make to Pawan Kalyan sir on behalf of all his fans. He will definitely succeed whichever field he chooses. But we fans can't bear it if he says he won't do films anymore. We will always be hopeful that he will do a film someday.
Raj Kundra kept telling me that Shilpa Shetty liked my videos and photos. This gave me more motivation to work on such videos. When you are motivated by people like Shilpa Shetty, you don't understand what's right and wrong. When I was praised for making such videos, it gave me a push to do more.
