Getting old is the most the beautiful thing. I can't wait until I'm 60, to be honest, reading the newspaper. I don't know what I am going to do. I'll probably keep on being a novelist and maybe some theater piece, some dance piece, some music for films. It's exciting to grow.
You sit and you let your fingers go to wherever they are going to go. You wait until you start to hear something, and you start to figure out what it is that you're doing. And then you add another piece next to that piece, and wait to see if some kind of pattern or something interesting starts to grow, and then you cultivate it.

I really like to absorb the project and watch it and work on the music a lot and just get the feel for it until eventually a moment comes where I know I've got it. A lot of it is trial and error.
