I need a semblance of routine so little things, like having my morning cup of English breakfast tea and going to Pilates early before the world gets hectic, keeps me calm.
I love the routine. I love getting up in the morning and getting breakfast and packing lunches and doing the school run. Those things are really important to me. Because I think that those small but key moments are crucial for a kid.
Deleting 200 spams a day is a drag. And I was checking my email constantly, rather than getting on with my real work, which is reading and writing. Email was becoming a distraction, a burden rather than a liberation.
I spend a lot of time loathing the sentences that I put down on the page.
