A Quote by Ram Gopal Varma

My journey to Sridevi started when I was preparing for my debut film 'Shiva.' I used to walk from Nagarjuna's office in Chennai to a neighbouring street where Sridevi used to live, and I used to just stand and watch Sridevi's house from outside her gate.
Nirav Modi was the talk of the town, then the issue of Sridevi came in. This was brought to change the issue. When a person like Sridevi dies, you wrap her in tri-colour and you say you did that because she was a Padma Shri. It was all fault of the Maharashtra government.
I mean I loved 'English Vinglish' and I love Sridevi, but 'English Vinglish' still needs a Sridevi to get made, it's not like it's just any unknown actor.
I saw Sridevi in 'Himmatwala' and I was stunned by her screen presence.
Look at Sridevi, she dances well in all her films.
Look at Sridevi. She is going to be remembered forever for her films.
I hate Sridevi. I hate her for making me realise that she, too, is finally only just a human being. I hate that her heart, too, has to beat to live.
Sridevi was a great actor, but what did she do for the country that her body was wrapped in the tricolour?
I cried inconsolably when Sridevi passed away, I also went to see her and paid my last respects.
I have huge respect for Sridevi ji as a flag-bearer of the southern film industries in Mumbai for many years. I wish her all the best. And I wish 'Mom' a big success, as the trailer looks very intriguing and promising.
Sridevi was magic on screen.
Of course i was in Love with Sridevi
When I used to work my 9 to 5, I used to go to this abandoned house down the street. It was for sale, but nobody knew it. It was a mansion. Every day, or at least four days out the week, I would just stand on the porch of the house for like a year straight. That was around 2001 or 2002.
Watching Sridevi emote was an experience. She was very quiet on the sets. But once in front of the camera, all her energy would be unleashed.
I remember giving auditions for ad films and I used to wait for hours for my turn to come. I used to go for print shoots for Rs 2000. I used to go to the director's office with my portfolio and the receptionists used to tell me to put it in the post box outside.
I can never forget Sridevi's determination to make it big in Bollywood.
We used to live in this little house where the whole of the upper floor was used for chickens. It was four days' walk to the nearest road.
