A Quote by Rolf Harris

I've always tried to retain that childlike wonder. — © Rolf Harris
I've always tried to retain that childlike wonder.
I think age is terribly overrated. You're okay as long as you don't grow up. By all means grow old, but don't mature. Remain childlike, retain wonder, the ability to be flabbergasted by something.
I think I still keep my sense of wonder, which I call childlike, not childish, childlike. I still have a vivid imagination, and I like to try a lot of new things.
To be more childlike, you don't have to give up being an adult. The fully integrated person is capable of being both an adult and a child simultaneously. Recapture the childlike feelings of wide-eyed excitement, spontaneous appreciation, cutting loose, and being full of awe and wonder at this magnificent universe.
To me, it's always good to retain a sense of wonder and never good too big for life, like you've seen it all before.
Enter the writing process with a childlike sense of wonder and discovery. Let it surprise you.
I can't think of anything that excites a greater sense of childlike wonder than to be in a country where you are ignorant of almost everything.
Acting is a childlike thing. To act well, you have to be childlike in order to free yourself.
To stimulate creativity one must develop childlike inclination for play and the childlike desire for recognition.
To me, it's important, always in life, to never wonder what would've happened if I only tried something.
If you become too sceptical, you become scientists. If you become too childlike, you become religious. Science exists with doubt. Religion exists with wonder. If you want to be religious then create more wonder, discover more wonder. Allow your eyes to be more filled with wonder than anything else. Be surprised by everything that is happening. Everything is so tremendously wonderful that it is simply unbelievable how you go on living without dancing, how you go on living without becoming ecstatic. You must not be seeing what is happening all around.
That's what I've always tried to do. I've always tried to prepare the same. I've always just tried to keep the same routine throughout the season and go out there and try to be consistent on Sundays.
I hope there's always at least a small part of me that's always surprised, always taken aback, always childlike or innocent.
Never lose the childlike wonder. Show gratitude... Don't complain; just work harder... Never give up.
So remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see and hold on to that childlike wonder about what makes the universe exist.
Brexit is a ceaseless grind of conversations about customs unions and backstops. Anything that can add an air of whimsical, childlike wonder to proceedings can only be a good thing.
I still feel childlike. Not childish - there's a difference. But to be childlike is to be savoured and treasured. I offer my books to those who like the things of childhood; the challenges, intrigue, joy and fun.
