Moving fast is not the same as going somewhere.
I'm never going to be fast, and nobody will ever mistake me for being fast.
Why am I popular? I don't know. Is it a mistake? I should think it's a mistake somewhere.
Everybody accuses me of moving fast when I direct a picture. I don't move fast, but I just keep moving.

Teaching has made me realize that a lot of my fast playing is the musical equivalent of, 'Umm... umm... uhh...' - it's like when you're trying to think of the next thing to say that actually has meaning, you fill space. 'Umm' has about the same meaning as my fast playing.
Sometimes my life is moving so fast that I forget what's going on. I'm just going with the pace or going with the flow. Like, I don't really stop and try to pay attention to things for too long.
