I cannot compare and contrast Tinder and Bumble directly, but I will say that we have a very impressive, forward-thinking user base.
I'm on all the apps: Tinder, Grindr, Bumble, Scruff. I have no shame about that.
It's really important to note that Bumble VIBee isn't about weeding anyone out of the equation. Everyone is still allowed to use Bumble. If you're an active, engaging user, we reward you with VIBee status, and you can stand out in the app.
To define is to limit, to set boundaries, to compare and to contrast, and for this reason, the universe, the all, seems to defy definition....Just as no one in his senses would look for the morning news in a dictionary, no one should use speaking and thinking to find out what cannot be spoken or thought.
A user who essentially costs YouTube money has very little say. The way to have a say is to concretely support the creators and channels you watch directly by giving them money.
My goal is not to overtake Tinder or compete with Tinder. To be fully honest with you, I think Tinder is a great product. It's still my baby at the end of the day. So I wish it continued success. I still have equity in Tinder.
I have used dating apps a couple of times in the past and met people, but it is a difficult thing because you're meeting someone who you really don't know and you have no link to. I have friends who have had great relationships after meeting on Tinder or Bumble, so I'd never say never, but it hasn't worked for me.
Bumble really sets the stage for an empowered and modern way to connect, which educated and forward-thinking groups of people have really gravitated to.
I have a Tinder account. Now I've done Bumble, and I've tried this other one, and the way I justified it is that... because I'm on TV, I shouldn't be eliminated from participating in what's going on in the world. But people are always like, 'I can't believe you're on a dating app!'
My best advice for a new Tinder user is don't just start swiping left or right. Take a moment and really evaluate everyone's photos before you say 'yes' or 'no.' Sometimes people don't know what they are doing when choosing photos.
A product needs to be sufficiently innovative to distinguish itself from the pack, but not so forward thinking as to alienate the user.
If your user base engagement is fledgeling, a token may not be the panacea unless it is properly threaded into the product, and user behavior is accompanying the token utility.
I never thought of Bumble-Ardy in that way. But I still have that same deep feeling for children who are in dire trouble. I see Bumble-Ardy as a lonely, unhappy kid who is doing the very best he can to be in the world, to have a party.
You've got to bumble forward into the unknown.
Men do communicate, often very directly, but women sometimes cannot accept how simple what we have to say is.
When I did 'Bumble-ardy,' I was so intensely aware of death. Eugene, my friend and partner, was dying here in the house when I did 'Bumble-ardy'. I did 'Bumble-ardy' to save myself. I did not want to die with him. I wanted to live, as any human being does.
The Middle East is the tinder box of the world, and to be able to remove a nuclear threat of any kind out of Iran, that would have been a big deal, very positive step forward.
