I've heard it quoted that I was dead. You can't believe anything you read. That was just an off-hand remark somebody picked up, and now it's been quoted and quoted, and therefore misquoted.
I have heard that nothing gives an Author so great Pleasure, as to find his works respectfully quoted by other learned authors.
A cunning mind emphatically delights in its own cunning, and is the ready prey of cunning.
